AltaMira Press intends to develop full-service lists of publication of interest to academics, professionals, and students in the fields of family studies and gerontology. Historically both areas are underserved by academic publishers, creating the need that we intend to fill. We already address key issues of race, gender, body image, and violence through our ever-growing list of titles. Our authors include Charles Willie, Norma Williams, Scott Coltrane, Ira Reiss, Richard Gelles, Connie Shehan, Jaber Gubrium, and Francesca Cancian. We expect to rapidly increase our contributions in this field and welcome submissions from prospective authors.
